December was pretty busy as usual around the Ellison house. Too many things to prepare for! We had a wonderful time celebrating the holiday season with so many of our friends. The kids both had a great break from school and we were able to spend almost all of that time with family. They had a really wonderful experience ice skating for the first time.
A started back with hula after taking November and December off. She is also getting ready to jump in with her weekly after school art class. She's enjoying time with friends and crafting. The church choir is planning a spring musical so they started practicing for that last Sunday.
B has enjoyed some free time with us since Blast Ball ended. We are planning to get him into swimming lessons this spring. He has been enjoying library time up at the school where he will attend next year. Getting to be inside the "Big" school is very exciting! I can't believe we will be signing him up at Kindergarten round up before too much longer.

Another School Year
Overdue update here! A has begun 3rd Grade and has already memorized her little bit of the Declaration of Independence, gone on a school field trip and started taking extra art lessons. She has also been trying the choir out at church and seems to LOVE it. We continue Hula, but sadly did not get to participate in any shows over the summer due to vacations and life. We are hoping for performances to work out in October. B is certainly living up to the "all boy" label and is constantly on the go. His energy levels are exhausting. Now that he is 4 we have him in Pre-K and he started his first sport this Fall. It's like a pre-tball sport called Blastball...and watching this team is the highlight of my week. They are so stinkin cute. I debated going back to work this year, but decided that my path lay in another direction. I've been super busy with the PTA and all things family and that is more than enough for me.

6 More weeks of winter?!?
It's hard to believe it's still officially winter when we've had 70+ degree weather for the past several days. The kids are enjoying the time they get to spend outside running and riding their bikes. We took a trip to the zoo last week and it was a perfect day. We took A out of hula for the month of December and upon our return she was able to move up to the next level so she is busy learning lots of new steps. It has also be Girl Scout cookie season so we've been pushing those cookies on friends, family and neighbors alike. Thanks again to those of you who ordered and helped Abby earn some free days at summer camp and a few new badges for her Brownie vest.
B is a typical 3 year old boy. He's rough and tumble and wants to play anything that involves cars, guns or superheroes. Did I mention he's a total boy (mama's boy too!)?
Here are a few pictures from Christmas up until now.
Brad and I are staying busy and keeping each other in check. We are both currently obsessed with the book series Game of Thrones. Have you read them? They are LONG but soooo good!
